Managing Partner


Oluyemisi Dansu is a dynamic, versatile and highly motivated solicitor and advocate with extensive experience and a proven record of achievements in general civil/commercial litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. She is also a confident and skilled negotiator and solicitor with good organisational and inter-personal skills.


She graduated from the Lagos State University (LASU) in 2002. Subsequently attended the Nigerian Law School in 2003 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2004. She is a member of the International Bar Association; the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK Branch and Nigerian Branch; the Maritime Arbitrators Association of Nigeria MAAN; Lagos Court of Arbitration and Institute of Information Management Nigeria. She is a Past Secretary of the Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the Section on Business Law of the Nigerian Bar Association.


She started her career as an Associate Counsel at the law offices of Strachan Partners, led by a foremost Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Charles Adeyemi Candide-Johnson, and rose to become a Senior Associate in the firm, before leaving to establish Argyle & Clover in 2012.




Career Highlights


  • Vigorous practice of general civil litigation in all courts and in various practices areas and has successfully handled several high profile litigation.

  • Actively involved in the land mark series of billion naira litigations concerning the ownership and operation of Nigeria’s second GSM telecommunication network company Celtel/Zain/Bharti.

  • Part of the legal team that represented Nigeria’s second GSM telecommunic ations network company, Celtel/Zain/Bharti in litigation cases arising out of breach of shareholders agreement, breach of share purchase agreement ex ecuted by the shareholders.

  • Part of the Legal team that represented LG Electronics in a multi million naira litigation involving breach of distributorship agreement with one of its distrib
  • utors.  

  • Actively involved in judicial review of the decision of the Nigerian Securities Exchange Commission arising from alleged misstatements of account involving Cadbury Nigeria Plc.

  • Part of the Legal team representing minority shareholders in a Derivative ac
  • tion against Nigeria’s second GSM telecommunications network company Celtel/Zain/Bharti.

  • Part of the Legal Team representing minority shareholders of Nigeria’s second GSM telecommunications network company Celtel/Zain/Bharti in a litigation involving breach of Director’s duties, unfairly prejudicial conduct against the minority shareholders.

  • Served as Registrar to the Arbitral Panel over a dispute involving Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited and Dornier Aviation Nigeria AIEP Limited.

  • Served as Registrar to the Arbitral Panel over a dispute involving Gaslink Nigeria Limited and Dunlop Nigeria Plc

  • Actively involved in the billion naira Arbitration involving breach of Shareholders agreement executed by the Shareholders of Nigeria’s second GSM telecommunications network company Celtel/Zain/Bharti.

  • Successfully represented ITB Nigeria Limited in an Arbitral proceedings arising from breach of a multi million naira construction contract.

  • Represented ITB Nigeria Limited in litigations arising out of the Enforcement and setting Aside of an Arbitral Award.

  • Part of the Legal Team representing Accor group of Hotels in a litigation arising out of the passing off of one of its Ibis Hotel in Lagos Nigeria.
